I've spent my initial career in automation and industrial computing but the opportunity to learn about cybersecurity was one I couldn't pass up. The Merritt Program has offered new opportunities to me. My favorite courses have been in networking and system admin where I learned about the different protocols and tools available to a system admin to monitor and secure a network as well as planning a recovery plan and strategy in case of disasters or attacks. I enhanced my programming skills by succeeding in my advanced C++ class and learning about objects and inheritance. At this time I’m beginning to learn Python, database management, and hacking technics and I'm looking forward to contributing my knowledge and skills to a corporate environment where I can grow and help with product development.
