Merritt Cybersecurity Program

Beginning in 2014, the Merritt Cybersecurity Program was co-founded by LOBI Group, LLC CEO Jim Cates and StrataFusion Partner Mark Egan  in partnership with the Consortium of Information Systems Executives (CISE).  Annually, CISE sponsors the CIO Marathon to provide foundational funding for the program.

This is a 2-year accredited Cybersecurity degree program, featuring semesters in six week long expert-led sessions, that has delivered great results: graduates are winning national competitions and finding jobs with leading companies, launching highly rewarding careers in cybersecurity. Our students represent the rich diversity of the Oakland Community, so let's find them jobs!

A huge thanks to the folks at StrataFusion for supporting the Cybersecurity Internship program in association with Merritt College that brought the USS Hornet, docked in Alameda, an amazing young talented intern.

USS Hornet Museum

We had a great experience with a cybersecurity intern from the Merritt College program.

Not only did we get a lot accomplished, but we also saw a young person grow leaps and bounds as they learned from our mentorship.

Completely rewarding all the way around.
